Subaru makes $100,000 donation to American Red Cross in the wake of Hurricane Harvey

It's been a tough couple of weeks for the Houston community. Hurricane Harvey was a simply unprecedented storm, and its impact was felt across the whole of our city. From all of us here at Gillman Subaru Houston North, we want to let you know that our hearts go out to those in the Houston community and beyond who have had their lives and families uprooted by the storm. We're happy to report that Subaru is doing its part to aid the community of Houston in rebuilding with a $100,000 donation to the American Red Cross.

Now, as a platinum member of the American Red Cross Ready 365 Giving Program, Subaru contributes $100,000 annually to the organization. However, given the extreme need of the communities affected by Hurricane Harvey here in Texas and Louisiana, Subaru is matching its annual support with an additional donation of $100,000. In addition, Subaru also has plans to donate vehicles to support the recovery effort in the near future.

On top of its contributions to the American Red Cross, Subaru Motors Finance1 is waiving or refunding all late fees for auto accounts through September 10th for customers directly affected by Hurricane Harvey. If you are an affected customer and have trouble making your monthly payments, feel free to contact the special care line at 1-888-356-0023. In addition, customers whose vehicles were damaged during Hurricane Harvey and the subsequent flooding can be eligible for up to $500 toward the purchase or lease of a new Subaru vehicle. From all of us here at Gillman Subaru Houston North, we want you to know that we're here to help. Stop by our dealership at your earliest convenience if you have any questions about the information above.
