Built Different. Built for More.
The Trailseeker is Subaru's most capable vehicle ever — engineered for everything you do every day and every trail you haven't tried yet.
Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive — Standard
Every Trailseeker delivers the legendary grip of Subaru Symmetrical AWD with 8.5 inches of ground clearance. Standard dual-function X-MODE with Grip Control lets you dial in traction across Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud modes. No other electric SUV at this price offers this much off-road capability as standard equipment.
Schedule a Test Drive →25,000+ Tesla Superchargers. 28-Minute Top-Up.
The Trailseeker's NACS port unlocks the entire Tesla Supercharger network — more than 25,000 stations coast to coast. A 150-kW DC fast charger takes the battery from 10% to 80% in approximately 28 minutes. Battery preconditioning maximizes charge speed even in cold weather.
See Trims In Person →EyeSight Standard on Every Trim
Pre-Collision Braking, Active Lane Change Assist, Traffic Jam Assist for hands-free low-speed driving, and Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control come standard on every Trailseeker. A driver distraction mitigation system monitors attention and reacts before you have to. Subaru has earned the Best Overall Automotive Brand title from Consumer Reports two years running.
Talk to an Advisor →14-Inch Touchscreen & Wireless CarPlay
A large Subaru Multimedia System with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual wireless charging pads, USB-C ports, Wi-Fi hotspot, and satellite radio come standard. The Limited and above adds a Harman Kardon audio system.
3,500 lb Towing on Every Trim
When properly equipped, every Trailseeker can tow up to 3,500 pounds. Jet ski. Trailer. Popup camper. Tow ratings at this level are rare on electric crossovers and even rarer at this price point.
31.3 cu ft of Cargo Space
Up to 31.3 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 74 cubic feet total. Raised roof rails, a hands-free power liftgate, and a thoughtfully organized interior make the Trailseeker one of the most practical EVs in the segment.
117 MPGe — Most Efficient in Class
The Trailseeker Premium is rated at up to 117 MPGe combined — among the highest figures for an AWD electric SUV. That translates to real savings at the energy meter and fewer stops on long drives across Texas and beyond.
Every Number That Matters.
All three Trailseeker trims share the same powertrain — the differences are in the details. Compare them side-by-side to find your fit.

Your Questions, Answered.
Everything you need to know before buying or leasing a 2026 Subaru Trailseeker in Houston.
The Trailseeker’s NACS port gives you access to the entire Tesla Supercharger network — more than 25,000 locations nationwide, with a strong footprint across the Houston metro. It is also compatible with Level 2 public chargers using an adapter. For home charging, most owners install a 240V Level 2 charger (EVSE) in their garage, which adds roughly 25–30 miles of range per hour. DC fast charging at 150 kW takes the battery from 10% to 80% in approximately 28 minutes. Our team can connect you with recommended local charging installation providers.
The 2026 Subaru Trailseeker is backed by Subaru’s standard limited warranty coverage including the basic new vehicle warranty, powertrain coverage, and corrosion protection. The high-voltage battery receives additional protection as required by federal standards for EV battery systems. Subaru also provides complimentary roadside assistance. For full warranty terms applicable to the Trailseeker, speak with one of our advisors at Team Gillman Subaru North who can walk you through the complete coverage details.
X-MODE on the Trailseeker works alongside the dual-motor AWD system to optimize torque distribution for off-road and low-traction conditions. Snow/Dirt mode adjusts throttle response and braking for slippery surfaces. Deep Snow/Mud mode delivers maximum low-speed torque control for more challenging terrain. Grip Control lets you set and hold a specific speed on rough ground without brake input. Downhill Assist Control maintains a controlled descent on steep grades. Because the electric motors respond instantaneously, the Trailseeker’s X-MODE system is exceptionally precise — often more effective than the same feature on a gas-powered Subaru.
The Trailseeker differentiates on three fronts: standard AWD on every trim (the Equinox EV charges extra for it), genuine off-road hardware including X-MODE and 8.5 inches of ground clearance (the Mach-E offers neither), and 3,500 lbs of towing capacity that neither competitor matches. At $39,995 base with full AWD included, the value case is compelling. The 281-mile range on the Premium trim is competitive, and Supercharger network access eliminates the range anxiety that was once a legitimate objection to EV ownership.
The Premium is the strongest value in the lineup — you get the full powertrain, AWD, X-MODE, 281-mile range, and EyeSight for $39,995. If you want leather seats, Harman Kardon audio, rear seat heat, and 20-inch wheels, the Limited at $43,995 is the most popular choice. The Touring adds the panoramic roof, ventilated seats, and the highest-grade interior for $46,555 — still under $50,000 before any tax credit. Come in and drive all three; most buyers make their decision in the first ten minutes behind the wheel.
